Consulting Engineering & Project Management | Atlanta, GA

We are searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a decade to a decade and a half of experience in consulting engineering and project management to become a part of our Atlanta office. This position is ideal for a highly driven, team-oriented individual seeking a stimulating and fulfilling opportunity within a fast-growing firm.

The successful applicant will engage directly with clients, collaborate closely with leaders in various disciplines and the team in business development, and assume an active role in marketing and proposal development. This role presents a distinctive chance to help construct, supervise, and guide a group of engineers within a cooperative, multi-disciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and list electrical systems for various project categories

  • Supervise and create multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring quality, adherence to schedules, and budgets

  • Head electrical design teams and coordinate with other sectors

  • Explain and produce technical diagrams and construction documents

  • Oversee project teams with accountability for managing budgets and schedules

  • Develop technical proposals based on fees and qualifications

  • Engage in and support marketing and business development initiatives

  • Act as a technical advisor to clients, architects, owners, and contractors

  • Maintain constructive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Contribute positively to the office culture, morale, and departmental objectives

  • Travel as necessary to support project and client requirements

Technical Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of electrical systems design and specifications

  • Proficiency in relevant electrical and energy codes and standards, such as NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and related regulations

  • Experience with SKM, ETAP, or comparable electrical modeling and analysis software

  • Experience in the power sector, with a concentration on electrical engineering and design for industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal government, and/or commercial projects

  • Preferred but not mandatory expertise in lighting design

  • Experience with Telecom, A/V, cybersecurity, and security systems is advantageous

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

  • Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting

  • Advanced critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

  • 10–15 years of pertinent experience

  • Demonstrated project management expertise and/or certifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Desire and capability to lead interdisciplinary projects and teams

  • Experience collaborating with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and established relationships is a plus

  • Active involvement in local or regional industry organizations is beneficial

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience

  • Overtime pay at 1.0x hourly rate
