Power Project Assistant Manager
The Power Project Assistant Manager will support the Project Manager, Site Manager, and Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) Project Manager with various project management tasks. This role will involve working on a variety of projects in industries such as aviation, commercial building, oil & gas, and power generation.
- Follow company safety programs and collaborate with project team on Safety & Health performance.
- Build client relationships and interface with clients for project related items.
- Assist in internal and external project risk reviews and consult with Legal Department as needed.
- Develop and implement project plans and coordinate project permits.
- Negotiate and execute various contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Support site mobilization and demobilization and secure project permits.
- Coordinate bidder registration and pre-qualification efforts.
- Prepare RFPs and support bid and selection process.
- Implement project specifications, drawing releases, and design changes.
- Handle contract administration, including RFI's, submittals, and change management.
- Assist with project cost reporting, scheduling, and closeout processes.
- Prepare and report project status, risks, and costs at meetings.
- Coordinate project documentation and filing systems.
- Verify insurance and licensures for project contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct project audits and assessments as required.
- Manage materials receiving and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance of subcontractor's contract documents and safety requirements.
- Facilitate project turnover documentation and close out processes.
- Assist with project labor agreements and craft supervision onboarding.
- Analyze labor and equipment costs and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain craft progression records and manage construction equipment inventory.
- Perform other duties as needed and travel 100%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of construction experience.
- Experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in construction project sites or program management preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Must meet company's driving requirements.
