Overview

As a Lead Civil Engineer, you will oversee project management, business development, and team leadership. With a focus on civil land development projects, you will collaborate with various disciplines, support technical proposals, and contribute to marketing efforts. This role provides the opportunity to nurture and manage a talented engineering team within a supportive office environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead land development projects from inception to completion

• Coordinate with different disciplines for project design and delivery

• Oversee site layouts, grading plans, stormwater facilities, and utility design

• Collaborate with the business development team and assist with proposal development

• Engage in marketing to attract commercial, institutional, and industrial clients

• Guide and mentor the civil engineering team for growth and development

• Deliver high-quality technical design and consulting services to clients

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships

• Work with engineers in different locations to manage workload effectively

Experience with public utilities or Seattle-area projects is a plus

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Active Washington State Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required

• At least 10 years of civil engineering experience

• Solid background in land development and interdisciplinary coordination

• Previous work with local A/E firms is advantageous

• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and related software preferred

• Experience in public utilities design is beneficial

• Experience as a prime consultant is a positive

• Knowledge of zoning entitlements and permits is desirable

• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members in various locations
