Healthcare Construction Assistant Superintendent

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

This organization is a well-established general contractor in the Nashville area, serving a diverse clientele in various industries including healthcare, public works, retail, restaurant, corporate office, educational, and light-industrial sectors.

Located in Brentwood, TN, they have built a strong reputation and work with progressive clients locally and across the Mid-State region.

If you have the desired qualifications, they are currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their team.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Healthcare Construction Assistant Superintendent should hold a college degree in Construction Management or Engineering, with at least 1-2 years of experience in commercial projects. Responsibilities include assisting with project planning, development, scheduling, budget management, and site safety, as well as coordinating subcontractors and vendors for healthcare, corporate office, and educational construction projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of construction software such as Procore
  • Supervising subcontractor operations daily
  • Learning from experienced team members to supervise craft employees
  • Managing materials procurement, coordinating deliveries, ensuring site accessibility, and maintaining work site safety
  • Being proactive, forward-thinking, and well-organized
  • Demonstrating a positive work ethic and professional attitude
  • Keeping detailed documentation and reporting progress to project managers

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with Procore Construction Management Software.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a site management role, preferably in commercial or healthcare projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on-site while collaborating with various stakeholders
  • Proactive management of project schedules and budgets
