We have an exciting opening for a Building Project Manager role in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our client is open to candidates at both the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager levels, based on experience.

This is a fantastic chance to join a well-established design-build construction company that specializes in commercial and industrial projects, such as educational facilities, churches, and other non-residential structures. Candidates must have experience in commercial construction, as residential experience alone will not suffice.

The chosen Project Manager will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with clients, field leaders, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, high-quality work is delivered on time and within budget.

Duties include:

• Oversee commercial and industrial construction projects from start to finish
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, field teams, and internal management
• Create and manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, billing documents, and project records
• Review drawings, scopes of work, contracts, specifications, and project requirements
• Lead project meetings, track progress, resolve issues, and keep stakeholders updated
• Monitor subcontractor performance, job costs, safety, quality, and compliance
• Provide support, guidance, and coordination to project teams to ensure accountability and success

Requirements include:

• Previous hands-on experience in commercial or industrial construction project management
• Preference for background with a commercial design-build contractor
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Timberline/Sage is a plus
• Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, scopes, and contracts
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Degree in construction management, engineering, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred
