The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience and be committed to a long-term career in a full-service CPA firm. Responsibilities include managing various tax aspects such as compliance, planning, research, and advisory services. This position requires a positive attitude, self-motivation, strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new challenges. The candidate must be patient, organized, and able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Key responsibilities include:
Key Duties:
- Reviewing and signing tax returns
- Preparing complex tax returns for different entities
- Conducting tax research
- Interacting with tax authorities and regulatory agencies
- Calculating estimates and other financial projections
- Directly communicating with clients
Requirements
- Active CPA license in California
- Experience in managing tax accountants
- Detail-oriented with good judgment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to work overtime during busy seasons
- Proficiency in accounting software like Lacerte
