Join our team as a CNC Service Technician in Nashville, TN! We have partnered with a leading CNC Machine Tool Builder to fill this position. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machine tools at customer sites across the country. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, along with your dedication to providing top-notch customer service, will make you an essential part of our team. This role reports to the CNC Field Service Manager and offers flexibility in location, with a preference for candidates near major airports in IL, TN, KY, AL, and OH.

Duties

• Install CNC machine tool systems, including accessories, at customer locations

• Conduct machine leveling, geometry checks, and adjustments for optimal performance

• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues

• Recommend solutions for repairs or replacements, addressing root causes of problems

• Offer technical support through various communication channels to customers and internal teams

• Assist with customer training, project coordination, and service events as needed

• Maintain thorough documentation of service activities and reports

• Travel extensively for on-site service, including weekends and overnight stays

• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent practical experience

• At least 5 years of CNC machine tool maintenance and service experience

• 5+ years of remote technical support experience in the machine tool industry

• Demonstrated proficiency in installing and servicing machining centers with geometric alignment

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting

• Experience with FANUC controls and CNC control systems

• Solid understanding of power circuits and industrial electrical systems

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities

• Willingness to travel extensively during the week and work independently in the field
