Electrical Systems Development Engineer
We have an exciting opening for a Power Systems R&D Engineer with a leading technology company in San Jose, CA. This position will focus on cutting-edge power electronics, power conversion, high-voltage systems, and innovative power platforms for various applications.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with expertise in power electronics.
This role offers relocation assistance for eligible candidates in North America and potential visa support for H1B, TN, and Green Card applicants.
Travel requirements will involve around 20-25% of the time, including international trips to Europe and Asia.
This is a unique opportunity that emphasizes advanced development, prototyping, system design, and addressing complex engineering challenges at high power scales.
Duties Include
- Develop and assess high-power power conversion systems
- Support R&D projects and prototype design
- Conduct efficiency and thermal analysis, along with system validation
- Lead lab testing, troubleshooting, and performance evaluations
- Identify and resolve technical issues and enhance design solutions
- Engage in global collaboration with R&D teams worldwide
- Contribute to the development of next-gen power systems
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage power systems
- Strong background in lab testing and system optimization
- Ability to work on advanced development projects
- Interest in customer-focused problem-solving
- Bilingual skills are a plus

- Salary Range: $180K–$200K
