Description:

Summary: Seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to assist with assigned tasks, troubleshooting, training, and workflow enhancement recommendations.

Position Responsibilities:

Skilled in blood draws, specimen labeling, specimen centrifugation, equipment maintenance, patient data updates, etc.

Collects and preserves specimens following established protocols.

Effectively communicates the venipuncture process and specimen collection procedures, demonstrating the use of straight and butterfly needles.

Ensures comprehension of all physician orders and matches requisition forms to specimen tubes.

Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as mandated by test orders.

Verifies test requisitions against scripts, packages specimens for transportation, and stores samples per temperature requirements.

Attends annual training sessions, answers phone calls, and delivers laboratory results.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid state Phlebotomy certification, minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, High School Diploma or GED required.

At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
