Job Overview of the Business Development Specialist: The Business Development Specialist position involves aiding in the expansion of the business within targeted markets. Collaborating with the Market Development Manager, the Business Development Specialist is tasked with overseeing strategic sales and marketing initiatives, essential customer relationships, and project oversight. This role necessitates monitoring and analyzing market trends, fostering strong internal team connections, and contributing to market growth by executing sales and marketing strategies effectively.
Role Responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist:
- Cooperate with Market Development Manager(s) to ensure sales and profit targets are met.
- Accountable for providing sales support and ensuring customer satisfaction in specific market sectors.
- Assist in coordinating special projects, facilitate communication between various teams, and work closely with Market Development Manager(s) to execute strategic market development plans.
- Offer input for the development and implementation of annual Strategic Market Development Plans for specific markets.
- Collaborate with team members on managing key accounts within the market.
- Provide technical support to the sales team after gaining product knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and adaptation of sales and marketing tools.
- Aid in setting and achieving key budget objectives with the team.
- Manage pricing policies and discount structures for key accounts.
- Follow up on open quotations and projects, monitor competitor activities, and communicate relevant data within the organization.
- Coordinate participation in trade shows and events.
- Provide account management for unique projects or products as required.
Educational Requirements for the Business Development Specialist:
· Minimum of an associate degree in relevant fields with at least (3) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Bilingual or experience in Latin American Business is required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a preferable typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Experience in sales development, project management, and market support is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% in the future.
- Ability to think strategically and generate sales growth initiatives.
