This is an active role in building business, not just managing accounts.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of chemical trading,
distributor relations, pricing, margins, supply dynamics, and market trends.

The primary responsibility is to increase sales and profitability within a

Key duties include:
Trading a variety of chemicals within the company’s product range
Cultivating new business with customers, distributors, suppliers, and
industry stakeholders
Expanding existing accounts while seeking out new profitable opportunities
Establishing and nurturing solid relationships with clients and suppliers
Creating pricing structures, proposals, presentations, market analyses,
and business-related communications
Monitoring market activities, competitor movements, pricing patterns,
and regional demands
Collaborating with sourcing, supply, sales, marketing, and leadership teams
Supervising sales volume, gross margin, sales pipeline, and account
performance
Assisting in supplier/product approval processes following company guidelines
Resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally
Representing the company at industry gatherings, conferences, and networking
events
Ensuring adherence to relevant trade laws, regulations, and company policies

5-8+ years of successful experience in chemical sales, commodity
trading, distribution, or a similar business role
5-8+ years of experience in the chemical industry
Previous experience in selling to or collaborating with chemical distributors
is highly preferred
In-depth understanding of chemicals, market trends, pricing, supply chains,
and downstream applications
Proven track record in generating new business and expanding profitable accounts
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Comfortable interacting with customers and suppliers
Proficiency in data analysis and clear communication of market insights
Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business software applications
Bachelor’s degree required; Preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering,
or MBA
