Job Title: Application Engineer

Location: Harlan, Iowa

Salary: $60-70K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Application Engineer: The The Application Engineer role involves providing sales and system application support, offering guidance on product design, and actively participating in customized solution development. Key responsibilities include reviewing design specifications, preparing detailed layouts and drawings, analyzing performance requirements, supporting Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Application Engineer:

• Review design specifications and discuss product requirements with Sales and/or customers
• Create detailed drawings and schematics using SolidWorks and AutoCAD/DraftsSight
• Develop manufacturable designs based on product specifications and performance requirements
• Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design reviews and solutions
• Provide engineering support to the manufacturing shop floor and assist with commissioning
• Interpret regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, and NFPA

Education & Experience Requirements of the Application Engineer:

· Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, or Engineering Technology, plus 3–5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination

· Proficiency in AutoCAD (2018 or newer) and SolidWorks is required.

· Sound understanding of mobile electrification systems for industrial and/or commercial use is required

· Strong communication skills to effectively document and discuss technical requirements

· Ability to communicate and effectively document conversations with Sales and/or Customers concerning applications and technical requirements.
