Inventory Control Supervisor

Our client in an international automotive supplier. They are looking for a Materials Manager with a strong background in the automotive industry. This position is located in West Virginia, with a low cost of living and access to beautiful country living (mountains, lakes!)

Materials Manager

Are you a strategic, hands-on leader who excels in overseeing all aspects of materials flow and ensuring accuracy and control of inventories, transactions, procurement, planning, scheduling, receiving and shipping to meet customer demands promptly.

Responsibilities
Oversee and lead the operations, activities, and personnel involved in Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Receiving, Shipping, Materials Handling, and Inventory Control.
Establish and enforce policies and procedures to facilitate efficient execution of material logistics functions.
Maintain inventory precision through regular cycle counts, control systems, and necessary corrective measures.
Ensure timely and accurate vendor releases.
Enhance in-plant material handling and storage systems.
Develop and uphold TS-ISO procedures for the Materials department.
Implement and ensure utilization of the SAP system.
Adhere to OSHA, Safety, and PPE regulations.
Supervise production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking production progress, and analyzing schedule-affecting factors.

Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic, seasoned professional who can revolutionize logistics management.

Education & Experience

o Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

o Previous experience in material control and production scheduling within the automotive sector.

o Direct leadership experience in material control teams.

o Proficiency in SAP is required.

o APICS CPIM certification is highly preferred.

Skills & Abilities

o Proactive leader with excellent prioritization and multitasking skills.

o Effective communication skills both in written and verbal form.

o Background in automotive Tier-1, cold stamping, or coil steel logistics is highly advantageous.
