Harvest Floor Operator – Multi-Species Processing

Overview

A meat processing facility in central Ohio needs a new team member for its harvest floor. They handle various types of meat and have ongoing projects to upgrade their operations. Join a dedicated group working to meet high standards in processing.

This role involves physical work in a fast-paced environment. Salary is competitive and can reach $30/hour for experienced individuals.

Tasks

· Complete various steps in the harvesting process such as stunning, skinning, and trimming

· Ensure animals are handled with care and in line with animal welfare regulations

· Prepare carcasses to meet quality standards and regulations

· Maintain equipment and keep work area clean during the shift

· Follow safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times

· Assist with overall barn tasks as needed

· Participate in sanitation procedures and cleanup duties

Requirements

· Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic applicants

· Ability to handle physical demands and varied working conditions

· Interest in improving knife skills on the job

· Background in agriculture or livestock is a bonus

· Familiarity with different meat cuts is advantageous

· Reliable, safety-conscious, and a team player

· Ability to communicate effectively in English
