Commercial Laundry Plant Engineer

Are you a Maintenance Chief Engineer looking for a new opportunity in Southgate, MI (Detroit suburb)?
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Chief Engineer oversees industrial textile processing equipment repair and maintenance while providing leadership to the maintenance team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe work environment and protect company assets.
  • Execute maintenance, PMs, repairs, and installations on all plant equipment.
  • Supervise and assign work schedules to the maintenance team.
  • Implement control systems for effective preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor utility usage and control costs.
  • Recommend capital expenditures to senior management.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Maintenance Management experience with expertise in machinery, electricity, plumbing, and more.
  • Experience in commercial laundry operations.
  • Strong preventative maintenance mindset and supervisory skills.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and PLC programming.
  • Skills in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and facility maintenance.
  • Team player with dedication to quality work.
