Seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee Plant Costs in Stuarts Draft, VA. Responsibilities include supporting Operations with financial analysis, variance reports, and annual planning. This role will collaborate with plant leadership and other departments for strategic decision-making.

• Act as a trusted advisor to Plant Leadership.
• Provide data insights to enhance team performance.
• Track actual performance against plans and forecasts.
• Analyze spending trends and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support annual planning and cost analysis.
• Ensure accurate reflection of standard costs.
• Drive process improvements in financial analysis.
• Manage expense vs. Capital decisions.
• Participate in Plant Cost Savings initiatives.
• Maintain internal controls and oversee audits.
• Ensure accurate inventory records and reserves.
• Represent Finance Team in plant meetings.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Experience with cost accounting in ERP systems.
• Knowledge of standard cost valuation principles.
