Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for production planning? Our client is looking for a Lead Production Scheduler to join their team in Stuarts Draft, VA, just a short drive from Charlottesville. In this role, you will be responsible for creating complex production schedules, utilizing SAP planning tools, and providing guidance to your colleagues.

Key Duties

• Develop detailed production schedules in SAP, taking into account materials, equipment capacity, and operational constraints.

• Collaborate with various teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and material shortages, while focusing on delivery timelines, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.

• Optimize production sequencing and capacity allocation using SAP PP/DS.

• Address any SAP planning issues by working with IT and the Center of Excellence, testing enhancements, and ensuring system accuracy.

• Maintain planning master data, including production schedules, shift calendars, capacity models, and Planned Independent Requirements.

• Coordinate Stock Transfer Orders and provide insights on capacity assessments during S&OP meetings.

• Train team members on scheduling processes, document best practices, and strive for continual improvement in planning accuracy.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in production planning and master scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling.

• Prior experience as an SAP Super User or planning system expert.

• Understanding of SAP IBP integration and the ability to translate plans into detailed schedules.

• Proficiency in capacity scheduling, constraint-based planning, production sequencing, master data management, and exception handling.

• Capability to troubleshoot system issues, collaborate with various teams, and provide guidance to colleagues.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, engineering, or business.
