We are seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to contribute to the development of rugged embedded computing hardware for defense, aerospace, and challenging environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for intricate designs from architecture to production release. This position is based in Huntsville, AL and relocation assistance is provided with minimal travel requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Designing single-board computers, FPGA and DSP carrier boards, sensor processing modules, and I/O products.
• Creating digital hardware utilizing Intel or ARM processors, DDR4/DDR5 memory, FPGAs, MPSoCs, and RFSoCs.
• Troubleshooting high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and multi-Gigabit Ethernet.
• Collaborating with FPGA, software, systems, and manufacturing teams to address design challenges and ready products for release.
• Offering technical guidance on complex hardware programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or embedded hardware design.
• Proficiency in schematic capture, circuit board design, hardware bring-up, validation, and debugging.
• Experience with Intel or ARM processors, programmable devices, and high-speed interfaces.
• Ability to use oscilloscopes and electronic test equipment, with a history of leading technical projects.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Knowledge of signal integrity, ruggedized electronics, Mentor Expedition Dx, Embedded Linux, or C/C++ is an advantage.
