Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to guarantee prompt and precise delivery of goods.
• Oversee transportation planning and fleet management activities, collaborating with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to enhance freight movement.
• Implement process enhancement initiatives using Lean methodologies and continual improvement strategies to boost efficiency, decrease waste, and enhance service levels.
• Monitor profit and loss statements concerning logistics activities; develop budgets, control costs, and pinpoint areas for financial improvement.
• Lead supply chain management efforts by coordinating demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory control to effectively meet customer demands.
• Supervise warehouse staff and logistics teams; cultivate a culture of safety, accountability, and superior performance through effective managerial communication.
• Utilize ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and supply chain analytics tools to track operations, analyze data, and guide decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to shipping & receiving regulations, freight documentation standards, and safety protocols throughout all distribution activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production planning, and distribution, to simplify processes and enhance overall supply chain performance.
• Generate reports on operational metrics like inventory levels, distribution efficiency, and freight costs; suggest strategic adjustments based on data insights.

Skills

• Substantial experience in warehouse oversight, distribution operations, and logistics management.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or fleet operations.
• Thorough comprehension of profit & loss management in a logistics setting.
• Proven capability to lead process enhancement initiatives using Lean principles or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expertise in transportation planning, freight management (including NVOCC), demand planning, inventory management, and supply chain analytics.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management skills focused on motivation and development.
• Excellent managerial communication skills capable of coordination across departments and external partners.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices, warehouse operations standards, and shipping & receiving procedures.
• Ability to analyze complex logistics data for ongoing process optimization.
• Familiarity with 3PL providers' operations as well as transportation regulations pertinent to global supply chains.
