Job Description:

This position is available at a manufacturing facility specializing in food additives. The facility is part of an international organization with multiple plants both in the United States and overseas. The MechInt Engineer will join the site engineering team, which consists of process and project engineers. The primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee the mechanical integrity program. This includes serving as the site engineer for tank and pressure relief valve inspections, as well as designing and supervising projects up to a million dollars in value. These projects may involve repairing or replacing fixed equipment. The company provides a comprehensive relocation package, covering moving costs, lease termination or home sale expenses, and a house-hunting trip to the area.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience post-college, ideally 5 years or more
  • Candidates with experience as Maintenance/Reliability Engineers, Plant Engineers, or Process Engineers in the food, chemical, or manufacturing industries will be considered
  • Prior experience with plant storage tanks and knowledge of NFPA codes
  • Additional preferred qualifications include project design and installation experience, familiarity with various valves and piping systems, experience with combustible dust, and knowledge of API (510, 570, 653) and ASME codes
