LOCATION: Reston, VA. This role follows a flexible hybrid (2x/wk in office) work arrangement. The candidate must reside within a 60-mile radius of Reston, VA, preferably already living in the area or willing to relocate with company assistance prior to joining.

- Lead the design of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals and utilizes best industry and technical practices
- Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and technical teams to develop and implement innovative solutions using the ServiceNow platform
- Create platform roadmaps with considerations for scalability, performance, stability, and audit compliance
- Design workflows, integrations, and modules to expand the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform
- Drive the implementation of ServiceNow solutions, focusing on Core foundation, ITSM, ITAM, SecOPs, GRC, TPRM, and other relevant modules
- Manage platform upgrades and ensure all applications are optimized and compliant with enterprise security and compliance standards
- Provide technical guidance to configure, customize, and develop on the ServiceNow platform based on business requirements
- Document solutions, internal technical and process knowledge base materials, and train process owners and stakeholders
- Establish process governance and implement technical best practices
- Mentor and guide a team of ServiceNow engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Engineering, Finance, HR) to promote platform adoption and success
- Meet strict deadlines and targets as an individual and as a leader of multiple teams, demonstrating strong decision-making skills
- Engage with executive leadership and management to understand business objectives and provide valuable, measurable solutions
- Coordinate with ServiceNow team management to ensure clear communication regarding project status, challenges, and milestones
- Implement technical governance and promote best practices to improve platform performance and operational efficiency
- Stay informed about the latest ServiceNow trends, releases, and best practices, proactively leveraging new technologies and features to enhance the platform
- Create an environment for engineering team members to experiment with technical solutions that can address organizational issues
IDEAL PROFILE
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ServiceNow platform development, with deep technical expertise in ITSM, ITAM, SecOPs, and GRC modules
- Proficient in scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide, etc.) for ServiceNow platform development and Service Portal (HTML, CSS, AngularJS, SASS, Bootstrap)
- Strong skills in designing and architecting ServiceNow platform implementations, including workflows, custom apps, and integrations
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and Spokes
- Proven experience leading technical teams, implementing process governance, and delivering large-scale projects
- Familiarity with Perl and Python programming in a Linux environment
- Good understanding of CMDB, Asset Management, Discovery, Portal, Incident, Problem, and Change Request Management processes
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to business leaders and stakeholders
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITAM, or similar)
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ITIL v3/v4 certification
