Financial Analyst

**Financial Analyst with extensive experience in managing financial operations in a manufacturing environment is required**

Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst for our manufacturing plant located in Asheville, NC. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, including data processing, standard costs, expense budgets, forecasting, profit planning, and capital expenditures. Additionally, you will provide leadership and mentorship to the Accounting Department team members.


Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and timely prepare monthly and annual financial results for the plant.
  • Create the annual business plan and forecast.
  • Coordinate accounting costs and budgets to establish cost standards and expense budgets for measuring product cost, expense control, and plant performance.
  • Prepare necessary financial and operating analyses.
  • Measure monthly operating performances against approved goals and objectives.
  • Optimize cash flow to support business operations.
  • Develop business forecasts and the annual profit plan.
  • Ensure proper account distribution for expenses, inventories, and fixed assets.
  • Facilitate monthly closing by reviewing accounting data and computer runs.
  • Coordinate year-end physical inventory and additional inventories as needed.
  • Prepare capital expenditure appropriation requests and justifications.
  • Supervise and enforce organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Conduct internal audit procedures.
  • Audit and update monthly budget analysis for accuracy.
  • Review Plant procedures for cost-saving effectiveness and goal achievement.
  • Administer and ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Material Management System requirements.
  • Record accounting transactions effectively and promptly.

Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing plant with supervisory responsibilities is essential.
  • Proficiency in computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Strong communication, presentation, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective leadership abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and budgetary controls.
  • High level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to motivate and delegate authority to subordinates.
