Concrete Project Lead

About the Company

Our Client is a leading commercial contracting company specializing in structural concrete and design-build general contracting. With a workforce of 800 tradesmen and 40 office staff, we undertake large-scale projects such as the New Tom Bradly International Terminal, Wilshire-Curson high-rise residential tower, The Source car parking structure, Gilead Pharmaceuticals Corporate Campus and Distribution Center, among others. We are a 100% at-risk contractor, taking on lump sum fixed-price contracts ranging from $15 million to $150 million.

Please note that we only consider candidates from companies familiar with the scale of our work and proficient in using project management software on a daily basis. Our projects involve formal processes that must be strictly followed.

Job Duties

  • Oversee construction projects ranging from $10 million to $35 million
  • Manage the construction of Class A high rise buildings and multi-story parking structures
  • Primarily work in LA, Orange County, and the Inland Empire


  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience
  2. Strong understanding of scoping, buyout, cost control, and communication skills
  3. Proficiency in Prolog and Converge is a plus

Additional Notes on Project Managers:

  1. At least 5 consecutive years as a Project Manager in commercial building industry
  2. Experience in Design-Build General Contracting or Structural Concrete projects
  3. Ability to self-perform structural concrete work as a Union Contractor
  4. Familiarity with computerized project management software
  5. Responsible for cost control and reporting on project performance
  6. Ability to write scopes for subcontracts and purchase orders
  7. Serve as liaison between project site, owner, and GC
  8. Ability to read and interpret detailed plans and specifications
  9. Willingness to learn company’s specific project management processes
  10. Strong teamwork skills and willingness to be hands-on
  11. No out-of-state candidates
  12. No candidates with 40 years of industry experience; 30 years is the maximum
  13. No candidates with extensive history of delegation and management positions
  14. No candidates with frequent job changes and short employment terms
