SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – Custom Residential New Construction

A Regional single-family Home Builder with a small-company feel but extensive company support staff in place to assist with all employee responsibilities at the local level. They operate in 50 offices across 12 states and collaborate directly with local clients to construct semi-custom homes in the affordable to semi-custom niche. The Overview:

  • This Operations Manager with seniority will oversee all project managers and sub/client relationships.
  • They will also handle branch operations, with a high likelihood of a General Management promotion within a year.
  • Responsibilities include construction site management, from sub-selection & contracts to safety and scheduling until completion.
  • Additionally, they will oversee contractor/vendor negotiations, job site development, and production.
  • Budget regulation and job cost management is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess experience in residential construction, preferably with scattered lot building.
  • Managing multiple projects (typically 8-10) simultaneously, with average home prices ranging from $260k to $425k (or higher).
  • A proven track record of 10+ years in successful operations & project leadership, specifically within New Construction.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a consistent track record in overall construction operations.
  • The candidate must possess excellent team-building skills and effective communication abilities with customers/owners.
