Mental Health Doctor

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prescribe and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data to diagnose the nature and extent of mental disorders
  • Collaborate with the integrated team to discuss treatment plans and monitor progress
  • Perform psychiatric assessments and evaluations
  • Design and execute individualized care plans, employing a variety of treatments
  • Prescribe and monitor medications and other treatments
  • Provide services via telephone and video (telemental/telemedicine) as needed
  • Offer unscheduled and emergency services for walk-in, open-access, and crisis clients
  • Use Medication Assisted Therapies (MAT) as part of an evidence-based integrated approach
  • Evaluate recipient progress and make referrals when necessary
  • Maintain accurate patient information and records
  • Ensure timely documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Participate in care planning and coordination meetings
  • Contribute to quality assurance and improvement activities
  • Uphold client confidentiality and privacy of health information
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current and valid board certification in psychiatry
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of a psychiatric residency
  • State license to practice medicine
  • DEA registration
  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Familiarity with current DSM criteria
  • Training and experience in Medication Assisted Therapies (MAT) preferred
  • Knowledge of crisis assessment tools and techniques
  • Strong understanding of general psychiatric principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with PC applications and electronic medical records
