Lead Systems Engineer

Job Description

Demonstrated expertise in the modeling of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems, including the creation of all associated deliverables.

Development of system architecture using a model-based approach.

Utilization of modeling and simulation techniques.

Management and integration of system interfaces.

Responsible for incorporating capabilities into the unmanned aircraft system (UAS).

Collaboration with engineering leads to establish use cases, operational scenarios, and functional and physical architecture.

Collaboration with engineering teams to define interface parameters.

Prior experience managing requirements databases, including performing bi-directional tracing and allocating requirements from higher to lower levels.

Strong working knowledge of various engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.

Guidance of engineering activities and adherence to the model-based systems engineering (MBSE) process.

Adaptation and integration of the SCADe (System C Architectural Design) tool into our clients’ processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred in aeronautical engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a systems engineer in the aerospace sector.

Proficiency with systems engineering software tools, including MBSE and requirements databases.

Experience working on projects aiming for or receiving certification at the system or product level in the aerospace or automotive industries (e.g., MIL-HDBK-516, MIL-HDBK704, MIL-HDBK-810, Part 23, Part 25, TSO, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160).

Polarion ALM

SCADE Architect or other SysML tool
