Embedded Software Developer


Position Title: Embedded Software Developer


  • Extract requirements from customer and company requests
  • Create requirements for subassemblies, vendors, and other fields
  • Provide technical support to electrical, software, firmware, and mechanical engineers
  • Develop and maintain system-level documentation, including block diagrams, acceptance test procedures, interface documents, analysis reports, and user manuals.
  • Perform system integration and testing in lab environments using various electrical test equipment
  • Conduct system level acceptance tests in lab, third-party test houses, and customer sites
  • Collaborate with Senior Systems Engineer and Director of Engineering to ensure system design meets architecture
  • Support technical reviews by creating presentations and participating in meetings
  • Effectively communicate issues and potential solutions to internal and external stakeholders


  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Preferred 5-10 years of experience in a highly technical research and development, engineering, or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated competence in engineering application development and analysis
  • Experience with electrical test equipment in lab environments
  • At least 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet customer requirements
  • Excellent customer interaction and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with model-based system engineering is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines such as electronics, mechanical, software, and management
  • Experience in imaging processing, power management, aerospace, defense, or medical products
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or technical equivalent
