Job Description

As a Flight Test Engineer, you will work with a highly skilled team to plan and execute development and certification flight tests. Your role will involve creating test procedures, coordinating flight schedules, and participating in test crew briefings. Additionally, you will contribute to the maintenance of the flight test process and provide documentation and training for flight test personnel. Your expertise in data analysis and report compilation will be crucial in evaluating test results.

Responsibilities:

– Planning and execution of development and certification flight tests

– Development of flight test procedures and maneuvers

– Designing flight test mission profiles and coordinating schedules

– Attending pre and post-mission briefings with the test crew

– Participation in onsite and offsite test campaigns

– Maintenance of the flight test process and documentation

– Development and documentation of training for flight test personnel

– Data reduction and real-time/post-flight analysis

– Compiling test reports

Additional Tasks:

– Attendance and participation in management meetings

– Off-site support for meetings and flight test activities

Required Skills:

– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or related field

– Minimum 3 years of professional flight test experience

– Experience with development and certification testing

– Test conductor or Test director experience is a plus

– Flight background (Pilot License) is an advantage

– Knowledge of aircraft system performance evaluation, verification, and validation

– Understanding of instrumentation and data processing

– Configuration management experience

– Structured, process-oriented approach to work

– Excellent English language skills

– Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

– International mindset and flexibility to support other functions

– Proficiency in MS-Office software

– Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Polarion is a plus
