Job Description

Our Client is seeking dynamic, detail-oriented, and innovative software engineers to join the embedded software team to create safety-critical code for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and ground station. This role involves full-cycle development according to DO-178C objectives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The software is developed using model-based software tools, with a preference for experience with SCADE Suite. The responsibilities include:

· Developing code for UAS command and control

· Writing code to integrate with onboard modems/radios and control systems

· Creating code to interface with payloads on our client’s UAS

· Independently understanding interface requirements for modems/radios/payloads and developing low-level code to remotely manage these systems

· Collaborating with team members to define aircraft networking architecture, communication protocol, and equipment requirements

· Developing safety-critical and mission-critical software using SCADE

· Analyzing and deriving software requirements to ensure safety, security, performance, and functionality

· Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to design efficient and secure code

· Documenting software design and architecture

· Supporting software testing and systems engineering by reviewing and updating designs

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with at least 10 years of experience

Proven track record in designing, prototyping, and testing reliable software with at least 10 years of experience

Experience in designing flight critical software architectures

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree or PhD in Software Engineering or related field

At least 5 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, railway, or defense industries in embedded software development

Knowledge of MIL-STD software development

Experience in development under ARP-4754, DO-254, DO-178

Extensive experience in C/C++ programming

Extensive experience with SCADE
