Mental Health Doctor

A fantastic new opportunity in Northwestern Pennsylvania! An incredible non-profit organization is seeking to expand their team and hire a Mental Health Doctor! This is a full-time, in-person position that focuses on working specifically with children.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for providing psychiatric care, which includes examining, diagnosing, and treating clients. This also involves prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications, ordering and reviewing appropriate diagnostic laboratory tests, and conducting group and individual behavioral health treatment.
  • In charge of conducting psychiatric reviews and creating treatment plans for clients, as well as writing necessary recommendations for services.
  • Responsible for completing relevant medical insurance forms for clients, such as Social Security and disability forms.
  • Available for consultation as needed for all mental health treatment staff involved in delivering behavioral health services. This includes outpatient and community-based settings.
  • Ensuring knowledge and practice of new therapies, treatment approaches, and services is up to date.
  • Supervising and collaborating with non-physician professionals.
  • Performing any necessary related work as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.
  • Must be registered with the DEA in good standing, with the ability to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Preferably board certified.
