About the Company

  • We are currently seeking a Maintenance Lead to establish and oversee a new operation.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 10-12 union maintenance technicians and electricians in a fast-paced packaging and processing facility.
  • We are looking for a proactive leader with strong troubleshooting skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Relocation assistance is provided.


  • Lead a team of Maintenance Mechanics & Electricians in performing predictive and preventative maintenance, as well as machine repairs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance systems, processes, and documentation in accordance with High Performing Manufacturing Organization standards.
  • Coordinate maintenance scheduling with the Production department to ensure timely completion of equipment and facility repairs.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators to monitor and report on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and supplier and contractor performance.
  • Provide support and solutions to operating teams in troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
  • Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
  • Regularly report status updates to the maintenance management team.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Associate’s degree and/or relevant maintenance certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in the food, consumer products, beverage, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Technical skills in mechanical and electrical repair required.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and support equipment (such as ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boilers, and compressed air) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and inventory and scheduling software preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision making, empowerment, and delegation, preferred.
  • Ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts related to process issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good planning and priority-setting abilities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
