Manufacturing Engineering Manager

The role of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Kansas City, MO involves overseeing and managing all current and upcoming program activities at the plant.


  • Lead and guide a team of Engineers, providing direction, training, and evaluations.
  • Create and manage the Engineering budget, ensuring it is met.
  • Supervise and control costs and manpower on various projects.
  • Handle new product launches.
  • Establish and maintain process standards for manufacturing all parts.
  • Develop and enhance Engineering processes and performance.
  • Specify project management requirements.
  • Research new materials and processes to optimize quality and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation according to specified timelines.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Understand design and engineering requirements and ensure adherence.
  • Manage fixed and capital budgets.
  • Apply hands-on experience in manufacturing, mechanical, and process engineering on the shop floor.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with company rules.


  • Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required.
  • Precision stamping or molding experience is preferred.
  • Effective multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thorough understanding and implementation of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork, achieve results, and delegate authority.
  • Proficiency in communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Result-driven mindset.
  • Effective leadership, management, and development of direct reports.
