Position: Lead Sales Manager

The Lead Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and guiding the national sales team to achieve objectives. This role involves collaborating with sales representatives, providing direction and assistance, and ensuring the attainment of sales goals. Strategic thinking, strong leadership qualities, a positive attitude, and the ability to drive sales initiatives are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Develop and empower a high-performing team of 15+ sales representatives.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivation to ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance assessments and implement customized improvement strategies when necessary.

Sales Strategy:

  • Create and execute sales strategies to enhance revenue growth within the assigned customer base of sales representatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

Goal Setting and Monitoring:

  • Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets for the team and individual representatives.
  • Continuously monitor sales performance against targets, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.

Customer & Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and vendors/brands.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Compile and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and relevant metrics to senior management.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance sales efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management and business development.
  • Proficiency in prospecting and conducting sales calls across diverse customer segments.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in sales, consistently achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
This position requires working in the office.
