Location:

This position requires remote work from a home office in the field (following initial training) and travel to customer locations.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience, up to $130K, plus potential bonus (0-40% bonus plan after 1 year, timing can be negotiated for the right candidate.)

Opportunity Summary:

Our client specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom dry-type transformers, SCR controllers, and specialty AC and DC drives. These products cater to a wide range of industrial manufacturing industries, from automotive to steel manufacturing. The main responsibility of this role is to drive product sales in North American markets. Job Duties:

  • Meet product sales goals in North American markets.
  • Conduct customer sales calls, including research, contact, scheduling, and meetings, as a product expert. This includes product demonstrations, customer process and application reviews, application of products to drive customer value, and building relationships.
  • Create and deliver product presentations and demonstrations to new and existing customers.
  • Provide targeted training to key customers on the setup, configuration, and operation of the company’s digital products.
  • Identify and develop new customers within existing and new industry segments.
  • Increase market share from existing customers.
  • Develop expertise in the application of the company’s products.
  • Identify opportunities for retro-fits of legacy products or competitor’s products.
  • Report on product sales, market trends, competition, strategy, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyze and report on factors driving customer value for specific customers, products, applications, or industry segments.
  • Document sales call activity in detailed trip reports.
  • Prepare customer proposals, negotiate contracts, process orders, and invoice customers.
  • Participate in trade show events and follow up with potential customers. Present product features as needed.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturer Reps or Distributors for joint sales calls (as required).
  • Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and management teams as the product expert.
  • Estimated travel requirement: 50-70% with occasional international travel.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience with technical products, utilizing solution selling or a value-for-price approach. Preferably to similar industrial customers.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated sales effectiveness in developing new customer accounts and building/maintaining relationships.
  • Aptitude for understanding technical products, applications, and customer-valued features.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Negotiation skills.
