Civil Survey Manager
We are seeking a Civil Survey Manager to join our team in Lakewood, CO. This position is part of our Civil Engineering Group and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
The Survey Manager will apply their knowledge of surveying principles and techniques to perform land and construction surveys. Responsibilities include maintaining survey files, making independent decisions on surveying methods, managing survey crews, and coordinating survey operations. Additionally, the Survey Manager will prepare survey proposals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting with survey proposal preparation and promoting work
• Participating in client conferences
• Sealing survey plats, legal descriptions, and ALTA Surveys as a Professional Land Surveyor
• Preparing reports and correspondence with agencies and clients
• Estimating staffing and survey equipment needs and creating schedules
• Managing survey crews and office personnel
• Reviewing final legal descriptions, survey plats, and field notes reductions for accuracy
• Training survey personnel
• Providing periodic field observations during surveys
• Establishing standards for the survey department
• Conducting computations for control surveys, boundary surveys, and easements
• Analyzing documentary and physical evidence
• Writing and reviewing legal descriptions
• Performing other assigned duties

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional Land Surveyors license (PLS)
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients
• Proficiency in advanced GPS and survey calculations
• Minimum 12 years of surveying experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage survey staff
• Experience managing profitable survey projects
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in both field and office survey work
• Established client base and marketing abilities
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in surveying or civil engineering technology
