Electrical Engineering Supervisor

Lead Electrical Engineer – Aviation & Federal Global Practice

As the supervisor of the Electrical Department in our Aviation & Federal Global Practice, you will ensure the highest quality in designs and deliverables. You will also have the opportunity to engage in business development and technical support, allowing you to stay involved in the market and foster client relationships.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Promote a culture of excellence by establishing high standards for electrical and low voltage design.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to your team, offering constructive feedback and supporting their growth.
  • Address performance issues and project quality concerns proactively.
  • Effectively manage workload and prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews, contributing to the overall success of the department.

Technical Expertise & Project Management:

  • Act as a technical advisor, providing senior-level insights and evaluating project progress.
  • Assist in establishing project goals, milestones, and procedures.
  • Coordinate project resources and monitor progress across the organization.
  • Manage staff utilization and track progress towards individual billability goals.

Collaboration & Business Development:

  • Support sales and marketing efforts by assigning staff to proposals, presentations, and related tasks.
  • Collaborate with Regional Office staff on development, quality control, and resource coordination.
  • Apply your experience to contribute to business development, cultivating strong client relationships.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrate leadership and/or management experience.
  • Possess strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
  • Display excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation abilities.
  • Preferably, hold a Professional Engineer license.
  • Prior consulting experience is highly preferred.
