HR Director

The HR Director is accountable for overseeing all human resources activities across multiple manufacturing locations in Cleveland, Ohio (Union & Non-Union). This role serves as a generalist, supporting the business needs and facilitating the implementation of company strategy and objectives. The primary focus is on driving employee engagement and fostering a high-performance culture. Union experience and knowledge of collective bargaining and grievance processes are required.

  • Adept at addressing various employee relations concerns, conducting investigations, and administering disciplinary measures.
  • Responsible for upholding company policies, procedures, and union work regulations.
  • Collaborates closely with senior management at each site to achieve corporate goals.
  • Develops strategies, priorities, and job descriptions to attract and retain top talent. Assists in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Engages with the Legal Department to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Thrives in both unionized and non-unionized work environments.
  • Possesses knowledge of labor and employment laws.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR.
  • Prior involvement in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of collective bargaining and grievance processes.
  • Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
