Our client is focused on the development of instruments and assays, and they are currently seeking a Senior Bio Product Manager to provide support for both software and instrumentation. This individual will play a crucial role in driving innovation from the initial idea to the commercialization stage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead multidisciplinary project teams, consisting of R&D, engineering, marketing, and data science, to transform technological innovations into feasible solutions.
2. Engage with customers and conduct market research to obtain the voice of the customer, which will guide the development of hardware and software.
3. Devising and implementing marketing strategies, including defining the value proposition of the product, customer segmentation, pricing strategy, and employing evidence-based marketing approaches.
4. Create and communicate a detailed product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and strategic objectives.
5. Ensure that the product’s distinctive value proposition, key advantages, and competitive differentiators are effectively communicated in marketing plans.
6. Carry out a comprehensive market analysis to identify major growth drivers, market trends, and opportunities for differentiation from competitors.
7. Support the sales and commercial teams by developing sales materials, providing product training, and participating in sales enablement activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in product management and life sciences.
  • Knowledge of product development processes, strategies, and methodologies.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Ability to transform scientific advancements into marketable products.
  • Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between scientific teams and the target market.

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive product management experience in the life sciences field, working with both hardware and software products.
  • Development and management of software programs, including the creation and tracking of user requirements.
  • Market analysis, strategic planning, and product lifecycle management.

Additional Information

— This is a hybrid role, and the individual must be based in Rockville, MD.

— The compensation package includes a base salary in addition to a discretionary bonus (and outstanding benefits).
