Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, examination, programming and setup of low voltage Fire Alarm Systems
  • Obtain and maintain all necessary local licensure, (CSA Card is necessary)
  • Carry out on-site crisis troubleshooting; programming and fixing FA systems
  • Identify code and non-conformity problems at client sites
  • Install and commission new FA systems collaborating with our team and electrical installers
  • Execute work in a safe manner utilizing all necessary PPE, safe work practices, etc
  • Travel within the states of Colorado and Wyoming to work on-site as required
  • Work may involve off hours/shift/weekend work as needed
  • Complete work in unusual and sometimes challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
  • Capability to read and comprehend construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to become/be a member of the IBEW Local Union 68
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience is necessary
  • Minimum NICET Level II in Fire Alarm Systems
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Denver Fire Alarm Systems Installer license (CSA Card)
  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma OR GED required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, including working outdoors, hot/cold weather, etc

Benefits

  • Wages subject to the IBEW Local 68 Sound and Communications Agreement
  • Base Wage: $32.00 – $45.00
