STAMPING OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary:
The Stamping Manager oversees all production activities in the press room. They are responsible for leading daily operations, ensuring that production schedules, products, and deliveries meet quality standards while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Production Supervisors, Shift Superintendent, and stamping operations team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of production and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure production, quality, and plant safety standards are met.
  • Monitor processes to meet objectives and timetables.
  • Work with support personnel to prevent production interruptions by addressing materials, quality, accounting, and personnel needs.
  • Achieve established goals.
  • Evaluate production requirements and determine schedules.
  • Identify, implement, and verify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor work-in-process to ensure satisfactory progress.
  • Establish and maintain efficient and safe work practices and facilities.
  • Stay updated on safety requirements and new developments for an injury-free, efficient operation.
  • Enhance production personnel abilities, skills, and knowledge through instruction and training.
  • Maintain compliance with quality control standards by staying knowledgeable about quality standards.
  • Set individual objectives for employees based on job functions.
  • Understand and participate in applicable HSE&E practices.
  • Report accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and enforce company safety rules and regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Must possess 5+ years of recent leadership experience in stamping/press room operations.
  • Experience with new program launches is required.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
  • Prior manufacturing experience with several years of supervision.
  • Familiarity with TS/ISO requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methods, with a proven track record of implementation.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to motivate a team, drive results, and delegate authority to subordinates.
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement.
  • Experience in data-driven or metrics-driven management systems.
