Job Title: Field Technician

Location: Frankfort, KY

Salary: $65,000-75,000 with bonus incentives

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated Field Technician to interact with customers directly, produce technical reports, and provide recommendations for product improvement to the Engineering team. The Field Technician will be responsible for independently assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field Service role with decision-making responsibilities
  • Degree or certification in Electronics or Electrical field
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Preference for knowledge of PLCs
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot systems using electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clean driving record
  • Comfort working at heights

· Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is required. Prior experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms is highly preferred.

· Must currently possess or be eligible to obtain a valid passport for travel within and outside of the United States.


· Regularly communicate with customers, end-users, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in scheduling and coordinating participation of involved parties for equipment installation, start-up, and commissioning.

· Ensure prompt response to customer inquiries through internal coordination.

· Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both onsite and remotely.

· Perform repairs on equipment at customer facilities, including both warranty and non-warranty claims.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Take responsibility for proper implementation of pre-commissioning activities in the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines, while maintaining accurate reports.

· Travel to customer sites to complete final commissioning and demonstrate equipment according to specifications for customer approval.

· Support project team in clearing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items as required.

· Attend project and construction meetings as necessary.

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Act as trouble-shooter for on-site technical issues, analyzing and resolving faults, and providing on-site assistance for customer inquiries.

· Independently coordinate all site visits with customers and/or end-users.

· Arrange all travel logistics (flights, accommodations, transportation) independently.

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering for testing and field service activities.
