Mobile Service Specialist

Job Title: Mobile Service Specialist

Location: Nashville, TN

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per year, plus bonus

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Mobile Service Specialist who can work independently, communicate effectively with customers, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for product improvement. The Mobile Service Specialist will be responsible for assembling, commissioning, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting systems both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field service role with decision-making responsibilities
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including domestic and international travel
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Preferably, knowledge of PLCs
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical schematics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Fearless of heights

Experience in the use of PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is required. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms is highly preferred.

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport with proper documentation for international travel.

Responsibilities:

– Regularly interface with customers, vendors, and contractors

– Schedule and coordinate participation of vested parties for equipment installation and start-up activities

– Ensure timely response to customer inquiries

– Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment on-site and remotely

– Repair equipment installed at customer facilities, both under warranty and beyond warranty claims

– Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

– Ensure proper pre-commissioning activities in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines

– Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and equipment demonstration

– Support project team in clearing punch list items and meeting project requirements

– Participate in project and construction meetings

– Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

– Troubleshoot technical issues on-site and provide necessary support to customers

– Coordinate site visits and travel arrangements independently

– Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering
