Job Title: Mobile Tech

Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Salary: $65-75K plus bonus

Job Summary: We are seeking a Mobile Tech who can work independently and has excellent customer interaction skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing technical reports, providing product improvement recommendations, and conducting the assembly, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of systems at both domestic and international locations.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a field service position with decision-making responsibilities
  • Certificate or degree in Electronics or Electrical field
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, both domestically and internationally
  • Ability to write trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Familiarity with PLC’s is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in reading and troubleshooting systems using electrical schematics
  • Comfortable working in a Windows environment and skilled in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • No fear of heights

· Experience with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is necessary. Experience with Siemens, ABB, and TMEiC platforms is highly preferred.

· Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport for international travel

Responsibilities:

· Regularly interact with customers, vendors, and contractors

· Schedule and coordinate the participation of vested parties for equipment installation inspections and start-up and commissioning activities

· Ensure timely response to customer inquiries by coordinating internally

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely

· Perform warranty and non-warranty repairs of equipment at customer facilities

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations

· Complete pre-commissioning activities, ensuring quality of work and report

· Travel to customer sites for final commissioning and equipment demonstration

· Assist project team in clearing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items as per project requirements

· Attend project and construction meetings as necessary

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel

· Analyze and resolve on-site technical issues and be available for subsequent technical queries

· Coordinate site visits with customers prior to departure

· Make travel arrangements for airfare, lodging, ground transportation, etc.

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering teams for testing and field service activities
