Job Title: Service Technician

Location: Boston, MA

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 per year with bonus incentives

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-motivated Service Technician who excels in customer interactions, generates technical reports, and provides valuable feedback to our Product Development Group. In this role, you will assemble, commission, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot systems within domestic and international settings.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a service-oriented role with decision-making responsibilities
  • Holder of an Electronics or Electrical certificate or degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including both domestic and international assignments
  • Proficiency in writing trip reports, return material authorizations, test reports, and corrective action reports
  • Strong knowledge of PLC’s is highly desirable
  • Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics
  • Capable of working in a Windows environment and skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
  • Fearless attitude towards heights

Experience in working with PLCs, VFDs, data acquisition, wiring, power equipment, and industrial electricity is a requirement. Prior involvement with Siemens, ABB, or TMEiC platforms is highly advantageous.

Must currently possess or be eligible to obtain a valid passport for travel within and outside of the United States.


· Regularly interact with customers, vendors, and contractors.

· Assist in scheduling and coordinating the presence of all relevant parties to inspect equipment installation and participate in start-up and commissioning activities.

· Internally coordinate to ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries.

· Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, VFDs, and other automated equipment both on-site and remotely.

· Repair equipment at customer facilities, addressing both warranty and non-warranty claims.

· Conduct routine inspections of existing system installations.

· Take responsibility for executing pre-commissioning activities related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation disciplines while ensuring quality work and report generation.

· Travel to customer sites for final commissioning, demonstrating equipment functions according to specifications to obtain customer satisfaction.

· Assist the project team in clearing and signing-off on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation punch list items as per project requirements.

· Participate in project and construction meetings as necessary.

· Provide technical training to end-user operators and maintenance personnel.

· Act as a trouble-shooter, resolving technical issues on-site, and remaining available for subsequent technical inquiries from customers.

· Independently make arrangements and coordinate all details of site visits with customers or end-users.

· Independently organize travel arrangements including airfare, lodging, and ground transportation.

· Provide direct technical support to customers, contractors, sales, and engineering during testing and field service activities.
