The Software Engineer, Oracle EBS Apps will support and enhance the company’s financial and HR systems. This includes ERP systems, integration with COTs, web applications/web services, mobile applications, integration frameworks, and providing technical support to internal business customers.

The Software Engineer is required to be present in the office two days a week and must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation assistance is available for individuals living more than 70 miles away from the office.


  • Support the company’s financial and HR systems, including Oracle ERP systems, web applications/web services, and integration frameworks.
  • Collaborate with vendor technical support, enterprise system administration teams, and project development staff to ensure successful integration with COTs/SaaS platforms.
  • Provide support and maintenance for software and web architecture requirements.
  • Design and develop innovative solutions to meet business requirements. Collaborate with an agile team of engineers and systems analysts to create high-quality applications and products now and in the future.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of connections with other systems and platforms within the company’s system landscape.
  • Ensure completion of key technical design documentation to a high standard.
  • Create quick prototypes/visuals to assist with high-level product concepts and epic stories.
  • Write and maintain comprehensive unit, functional, and integration tests for automation in a continuous integration environment.
  • Minimize operational downtime for critical, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance by expediting the deployment of approved changes, fixes, updates, and solutions, as well as automating manual maintenance, deployment, health checks, validation, and reporting.
  • Continuously evolve the company’s application platform to meet scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead code reviews and design reviews, offering guidance on best practices to improve stability and efficiency.


  • Experience: 5+ years of advanced computer programming skills, including Oracle EBS R12.2.11 or above, either in a production support environment or in a full life-cycle implementation effort.
  • Proficient in Oracle EBS RICEFW development.
  • Advanced technical skills in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, JDeveloper, OAF Customizations, Extensions, and Workflows.
  • Strong technical knowledge and significant experience in EBS functional modules, such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (RTR), and Order to Cash (OTC), among others.
  • Proficiency in Oracle EBS Web ADI, form personalization, web page personalization, and experience with Procurement/Supply Chain modules.
  • Experience in PL/SQL programming, including Stored Procedures, Constraints, Joins, Keys, Indexes, Data Import/Export, Triggers, Cursors, and SQL Loader.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Application Framework (OAF), Workflow Builder, and XML Publisher.
  • Experience with integration to Oracle E-Business Suite and/or legacy systems.
  • Hands-on experience in programming skills such as Java/J2EE, REST API, SOAP, etc.
  • Experience in analyzing functional requirements to create/modify system and service architectures and designs, and to write detailed technical design documents for components.
  • Hands-on experience with Quest STAT or similar deployment tools.
  • Location: Preferred to be local to the Reston, VA area (must live within a reasonable commute). Will consider individuals in the USA who are willing to relocate upon hire.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent); or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
  • Work Authorization: US Citizen / Green Card holder preferred. Will consider H-1B visa holders with an approved I-140.

Even better if you also have:

  • Experience with Unix Shell scripting, Spring framework, JBOSS EAP/FUSE, OBIEE technologies, and Python.
  • Ability to complete the entire system life cycle using Agile Engineering and Scrum Methodology, preferably in JIRA.
  • Hands-on experience demonstrating competence in developing scripts for configuration, installation, and support deployment activities, and exposure to CI/CD utilizing DevOps/Agile SDLC with tools like GIT, SVN, Maven, Jenkins, Selenium, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira is preferred.
