Quality Control Lead

Responsible for overseeing the development and mentorship of a team of QA Technicians and managing the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance programs at our Atlanta, GA location. Ensure adherence to company and government protocols. Inspect, assess, and validate all aspects of quality performance, including quality at the source, raw materials, production, packaging, and distribution.


– Foster and promote our Safety Culture, ensuring Food Safety and a secure work environment in line with our 5 Principles
– Uphold Food Safety Practices, maintain SQF certification by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Procedures, SQF requirements, and maintaining cleanliness. The plant should always be prepared for inspections and tours.
– Provide support for the plant’s SQF certification program.
– Identify and comply with QA policies, procedures, and guidelines, and provide feedback and follow-up to ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken.
– Coach and develop QA Technicians to enable them to monitor and validate plant quality processes and procedures.
– Prioritize the ongoing expansion of our Quality at the Source initiative, ensuring its effectiveness and empowering Processing and Packaging Team Members to perform their own quality checks.
– Facilitate communication across departments by identifying and troubleshooting production process issues.
– Prepare necessary reports and regularly provide feedback to keep management informed of business details.
– Perform various assignments under the direction of the Quality Assurance Department Manager.
– Ensure adherence to corporate standards and systems for monitoring food safety, food safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.
– Foster a safety-focused culture, with management and frontline supervisors being responsible for creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
