2nd Shift Maintenance Lead



To ensure continuous operation and efficiency of facility, manufacturing, and support systems and processes at our Boston location.


  • Participate as a member of the management team, promoting Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of manufacturing and support systems at the facility; suggest and implement necessary improvements.
  • Mentor team members in proper troubleshooting techniques, maintenance, and repair of plant systems.
  • Oversee team members’ performance, including proficiency, adherence to company policies, and professional standards.
  • Guide and support team members in their professional growth.
  • Enhance and expand Preventive/Predictive Maintenance practices across all facility systems and equipment.
  • Use CMMS system for work orders, purchase orders, inventory control, and equipment history.
  • Diagnose and resolve control system issues, including network problems with PC’s, PLC’s, and man-machine interfaces.
  • Apply advanced skills to troubleshoot electrical systems, such as power distribution, motor controls, variable speed controllers, servo controllers, and robotics.
  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge to troubleshoot automated packaging machinery.
  • Employ comprehensive knowledge to troubleshoot various process equipment, including pumps, valves, meters, and mixing equipment.
  • Apply working knowledge to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Utilize working knowledge to troubleshoot typical support systems like steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration.
  • Interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
