Sourcing Strategy Analyst



  • Act as the main point of contact for all procurement initiatives related to your assigned productline(s)
  • Analyze data for key performance metrics and operational items
  • Achieve annual business results for the responsible product line, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance, by leading negotiations for price and terms with potential and current suppliers
  • Lead supplier negotiations and selection for NPI programs and Engineering Changes related to launching programs
  • Select suppliers based on supplier data, financial information, capacity, and capability to ensure the lowest upfront cost and high supplier service
  • Establish communication channels with Regional BU leadership to understand commodity needs, service level requirements, and results
  • Manage assigned Commodity projects, including Purchasing, Expediting, Issue Resolution, Payment, and Supplier Performance Reporting
  • Resolve operational issues such as Blocked Invoices, Supplier Compliance, Delivery, and Supplier Quality
  • Negotiate and input supplier agreements/contracts as needed
  • Create supply base consolidation or exit plans with the commodity team for projects and spend across the product line
  • Hold Voice of Customer Sessions with internal customers and utilize feedback to enhance team performance and supply base service
  • Ensure supplier launches and PPAP align with overall program timing
  • Oversee the successful transition of programs from the NPI phase to sustaining
  • Participate in business reviews with key/strategic suppliers to ensure metrics and directives are being achieved
  • Implement improvement plans and actions for underperforming suppliers
  • Provide strong support for all manufacturing plants within the region
  • Collaborate with other BU Commodity Managers and Product Line Managers to share best practices and enhance negotiation leverage
  • Focus on building a resilient supply chain for NPI with a positive impact on project Operating Income


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related engineering discipline
  • MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management/Procurement
  • Previous SAP experience required
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in managing commodities and related materials
  • Demonstrated leadership in a commodity, project team, or with direct reports preferred
  • Experience with transferring production processes
  • Ability to work well with international teams and individuals
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex financial documentation and RFP submissions
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Organized and able to meet critical deadlines
  • Ability for periodic travel
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially advanced Excel and Power Point
