Work Hours and Compensation Potential:
Full-time role rotating between day and evening shifts.
Shifts are 8 hours in duration and are rotated, with start times ranging from 5am to 1:30pm.
Approximately 80% of shifts occur during the day, with 20% in the evenings. Weekend rotations happen approximately every 4th weekend.
Compensation range is between $54 and $75 per hour based on experience.
An additional $2.75 per hour shift differential is provided for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Comprehensive benefits package available, along with a sign-on bonus.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree required. Must be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Ohio.
Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but individuals with a background in retail will be considered.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and dispense medications to patients. Offer drug information and education to optimize patient care.
Ensure accurate medication order entry into the computer system, maintaining the completeness of patients’ medication profiles.
Provide timely and accurate drug and toxicological information to customers to enhance knowledge and minimize risks or adverse events.
Precisely calculate caloric and electrolyte ingredients for Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) to ensure proper administration of patient nutritional therapy.
Monitor patients’ drug therapy through screening for potential medication problems and resolving issues such as drug interactions, incompatibilities, and allergies to prevent harm.
Apply pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles to personalize drug dosing for individual patients.
Additional Details:
This position reports to a new Director following the retirement of the previous director.
