Working Hours and Compensation:
This is a full-time position with day shift hours. On-call duties will be rotated.
The compensation ranges from $24.50/hour to $33.50/hour, dependent on experience.

What We Require:
We are looking for candidates with an Associate’s Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or another technical field that contributes to the proficiency in maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare setting.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BMET 1 or higher in a healthcare environment.
Ability to learn LAN/WAN integration fundamentals to collaborate with various groups and teams as necessary.
Working under moderate supervision from the Department Manager/BMET Supervisor and senior technicians, your responsibilities will include inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating a wide range of basic clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.
You will frequently interact with other healthcare providers to identify technology-related issues and develop solutions.
A BMET II should have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various clinical inventory devices.
Participation in and facilitation of on-the-job training programs related to technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.
Working towards the position of a BMET III by achieving significant proficiency in handling specialized clinical devices and systems, training and mentoring junior technicians, and developing supervisory and administrative skills leading towards leadership roles.
Performing all tasks in strict accordance with the department’s Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP).
Regularly monitoring “Corrective” and “Scheduled” Open Work Order reports to ensure timely completion and accuracy of work requests.
Placing orders for necessary parts or vendor services to maintain equipment within manufacturer’s specifications.
Scheduling and overseeing third-party activities when necessary.
Additional Information:
This position reports to the BioMed Manager and is part of a 6-person team across multiple campuses.
You will work with a supportive team in a dynamic environment. This position involves coordination and organization between vendors and imaging.
